Racism has a cure. No one seems to understand how to solve racism. Racism is a learned behavior. If everyone that you grew up with, told you that the sky was green, then that is what you will believe. There is nothing that I could teach you in a class that could change your mind. The same is true for racism. There is nothing that we can teach that will change it. We must live the solution.
The solution for dealing with any racist individual is to have a strong work ethic and impeachable character. That is the solution. Then when it is time for layoffs, they won’t choose you. They will make their other racist buddies take pay cuts to keep you. Focus on these things, and the walls of racism will come down. Hard work and character are so scarce today that those of us who have it will never be laid off, unemployed, looked past, or skipped over. When you live a life with high moral standards and hard work, it kicks down doors today.
The racist person will soon see that not all people of your race are like he/she were taught. Then and only then will their thoughts change. Let’s stop marching & crying and start living lives of character. Lives built on faith and hard work. This will not solve society’s racial problem, but it will help your relationship with your neighbor. Hey, it’s just an idea….
